Another week - another dress for darling daughter

I end up suffering loads of guilty pangs if a week passes by without having sewn anything for my darling daughter. So it was weekend and i had to do something for her. The fabric chosen was the most cheeriest among those in the stash. The piping and trim fabric is the one leftover from Ruffle Top. So here  is a Closeup which will give a better view of Placket & Pocket.

Happy Weekend! N Happy Sewing!

Tiny Heart Dress

My daughter loved this fabric the moment she saw it. Specific orders to make a dress out of this for her first day when school reopens. As usual i somehow managed to sew it just in time for her to flaunt it today, the big day.

She did go to school happy and in cheery mood. I am feeling quite relieved.

Specifications:

  • Basic bodice with added wasitband with piping
  • Rectangular strips gathered to be used as sleeves (drafted on the go as an after thought)
  • Full-circle skirt

Here are the snaps....

Leftover Paisley Print = New dress for DD!

As usual anything leftover (I strictly mean only fabrics) are reserved for my Darling Daughter and it turns to be pretty than the original outfit of which the leftover were actually taken.
