Blast from the Past - Shark Teeth Brickstone Kameez

Here is a Blast from the past, though i stitched this one for my sister sometime during 2010 ! we managed to snap it up only last week!

This was my second attempt at Shark Teeth Embellishment as can be seen in the bodice and another feature of this dress is the petal sleeves!

Sorry sis, i had to do this to protect your identity online!! hope you don't mind!

OMG! Blast from the Past! Literally ....

I find this refrain of OMG bit cliched and seldom use it. But it just popped out of my mouth today!

i was waiting for my software updates to get installed, in the meantime just 'googled' titles for few tutorials i had posted like saree blouse, patiala etc... was pleasantly surprised to see my set of tutes topping up the search results...

more surprise was in store, the first tutorial i ever did, that too was way before i started blogged, the Patiala salwar for kids on Craftster was linked to over here...

i was pleased to see my Darling Daughter's less than 1.5 years old snap.... even the dress had been given away and the snaps in photobucket must have expired, but the imprint of that tutorial and the title picture still lasts somewhere, i am glad...

this has further infused the energy in me to get back to Anarkali Tutorial, which is half way done (got held up all week in my DD's BDay Party preparations..)... so hope to see the Anarkali Tutorial up and running by next week... are you interested???

Blast from the Past

I am yet to get the scanned images of the Cowl Neck tutorial sheets i had given to my sister. Thanks to Sprouting flowers, Thendral,Poornima, Tika,Megha for those encouraging words.

Meantime I thought of posting all those dresses which did not make the cut to my blog somehow. Either the Client (Read my little sister or even busier little darling daughter) or the Designer (Read Myself) were busy with other things.

Yesterday she was on leave and we had a blast making this collection from the past. Some date back to as old as 3-4 years old as well... yes God has blessed us with bodies that stay in tact and shape for years together(albeit lean but we are quite OK with it as long as we are healthy and happy)

Without much adieu have a look

Actually there are more .. few of MIL Blouses, Mother's blouses, DD's traditional Pattu Paavadai (Silk Skirt &Top) will post them someday....
