Mil's Saree Blouse on her B'day

Simple cotton saree and blouse but the piping around the neckline makes such a striking difference to the whole look. Another reason for me to stash all the left over bits .. hubby dearest are you reading this post...now you know the reason for ever growing fabric stash in my craft room! don't you ;)

This saree combination reminds me of one of the dialogues in my fav soap of the season , Iss Pyaar ko Kya Naam Doon, where in an imagination scene the hottie ASR blurts out to KKG for her query regarding the saree she is wearing, the same combination of green with yellow, he retorts instantly, pretty like Delhi's autorickshaws! how mean of ASR ins't it, but that's how he is and that's why so many of us love that character!

MIL's Deepavali Saree Blouse(s) !

My gift to MIL for this Deepavali - Silk Saree

Here is the Saree Blouse i managed to  stitch at the last minute on day before Deepavali!

The below blouse is for the one my MIL got her for Deepavali by herself ( I had kept my purchase as a surprise!) and hence i sew the below blouse long back!

Blouses Blow Out!

Blouses for MIL which were pending for a long time (read about 3 months) due to various reasons like embroidery work unfinished, lining material to be purchased, designer busy (read ME!) etc., at last did manage to finish all 3 at one go.

But a rare thing happened, though all of them are from same self drafted pattern, each of them had different fits and a unique issue, like sleeve not fitting well, bust cap not fitting , it took me another sewing day to figure it out and get them ready to be worn, fit and fine. Now that's a mystery i am unable to unlock, in fact to worn out to do so, so left it at that, now that fitting issues got resolved my MIL is happy and so am I.
