We saw an introduction and generic pattern for Patiala last week in Part I

I had drafted a presentation in powerpoint and have saved them as PNG files and uploaded the same.
Here is the Link to the Presentation

Patiala Salwar Part II Pattern Files Presentation

This week we shall see how to draft a Pattern using custom measurements
You would need the following measurements

  1. Pant Height
  2. Crotch Depth ( This depth will be more than fitted silhouette depth as it is loose fitting; So add 4-5 inches to it)
  3. Hip Round
  4. Leg Opening (as desired; min 18-20 inches recommended)

Please feel free to clarify your doubts. Comments and suggestions most welcome

  2. Did you ever put together post for part three of the patiala pant construction/ Also, I am unclear what the kali is and where is goes. If you could elaborate, it would be very helpful.

Thanks so much. This is wonderful.

  4. I like it very educative. Only 1 doubt though. The kali after pleating becomes 4 inches top and bottom? When attached to waistband and leg opening do I have to add 4 inches also? Thank you.

  5. The Kali initially is given 8 inches to include the pleating allowance, so after pleating it will be 4 inches kali which needs to be attached to front & back pieces. No need add any further inches to kali.

Please note as specificed in the pictures, seam allowance of 1/2 inch needs to be added to all sides where there is a seam joint.
