Welcome to Sew Skirts September! For us to be able to sew any skirt, we would need basic skirt draft. So lets go ahead and make one. For this you would need
Paper, Pencil, Eraser, Straight Ruler, Hip Curve Scale (preferred, but not a must!)
Before we see the draft picture and construction details there is one important reminder, after drafting the pattern as per below instructions, please DO NOT Cut it out! wait! we need to do one more thing before we cut it out and that is
Fold on the Center Dart line and pinch the darts, fold them to one side, now draw a line from 0-9 and open up the darts then you will see a line which goes up and down at the darts, this the right draft and now it is ready to cut!
Cut the pattern carefully along the waist line especially with rising dart pinnacle points!
Now we have the pattern ready! Lets do a muslin to test fit! Keep muslin cloth or any old cloth which is of no other use to you, can be used to check the test fit, ready! See you all tomorrow!
